The Inspektor chimney camera housing for the Insta360 x4 camera has been thoughtfully designed for ease of use and true flexibility.

You can set up multiple stabilizers with different configurations for fast swapping depending on the chimney. Comes with a body stabilizer and head stabilizer. The head stabilizer is good when you need to go through a factory built fireplace damper.

This baby has integrated LED lighting with USB-C charging. It's not a bad idea to carry a power brick in your camera case and plug it in between appointments.

Premium Lens Guards: We recommend you buy genuine premium guards from Insta360 to make sure they fit. You can take your chances with aftermarket, but they may end up not fitting this system perfectly.

What about wires? Wireless works pretty good on this unit for a lot of chimneys (especially metal). You can lose signal and use the record feature. But, that's kind of annoying, we don't recommend scanning blind. A live feed is the way to go. So we have a wired solution! It will grab the wifi signal from the camera and feed it down a wire so your phone or tablet can continue using the live feed preview.

This wire kit enables your Inspektor camera system to send WIFI signal down a chimney without being absorbed into the masonry structure. It's kind of like magic.

Your phone or tablet needs to stay in range of the reel system to get a continuous live feed. A lot will depend on your device antenna, but when you mount your phone on the reel system, you should have no trouble receiving a strong signal. The antenna end on the reel can be extracted from the reel system to allow you to have some flexibility. During most of our testing, our devices had to be within 2 feet of the antenna end. The antenna end is the plastic part sticking out of the center of the reel.

The kit comes with 50 +- feet of wire. You can extend this up to 100 feet (that's as far as we've tested). Keep in mind the longer the cable, the more the signal can degrade.

The kit comes with a phone mount, but you can easily purchase a tablet mount and attach it.
